Desire + Action = Achievement

9-11-08
Posted by Ephran Price

One night when you got home from work and after the evening meal you had a craving for chocolate ice cream so you went to the freezer to spoon out a bowl before sitting down to watch your favorite television program.

When you open the freezer door, to your disappointment, you are out of ice cream and your favorite program will start in about 20 minutes.

So…. you hop in your car and drive to the closest supermarket.

There, you buy a half gallon of chocolate ice cream then return home just in time to scoop out the ice cream and turn on your favorite program just as it is beginning.

As you can see, Desire + Action truly does equal Achievement. Your desires can only be achieved if action is taken to accomplish the goal. This is a very important lesson to learn and apply.

Now… Let me show you the power of this success formula… June and I applied this motto in our lives… and we can assure you that you too… can profit from this wisdom.

Desire: Our greatest desire was to “Retire from our jobs at our earliest opportunity”.

Action: The action we took to achieve our goal… Consistently build our DirectMatches business… Consistently and Fatefully!

Achievement: What did Desire followed by Action do for us…? The combination allowed both of us to achieve our goal?... I Retired 6 years early and June quit working 10 years early. Because of our success formula we searched and found DirectMatches and it became the vehicle that gave us years of freedom from the job.

This success formula can work for you also… "Desire + Action = Achievement"… If your desire is strong enough and you take consistent… and meaningful Action… you will achieve your life’s desires…

Now… June and I enjoy every day and we are able to devote our time to DirectMatches… and concentrate our efforts on helping other people achieve their goals…

Desire followed by Action truly does lead to Success and the Achievement of your Goals...

When opportunity knocks, will you answer the call?

Posted By Ephran Price

Over the years, many have passed-up great opportunities just to realize later on in life they could have gone to the top or become very wealthy had they seized the opportunity at the time!

All of us have had great opportunities in our life that gave us a chance to succeed beyond our wildest dreams. At the time, we probably got excited because we saw the potential of the opportunity, and we immediately began to daydream, visualize and contemplate where it might lead us. We could feel it in our gut! Our intuition was screaming yes, yes, yes!

Then somehow, the moment slipped through our fingers and was lost to the past as surely as the page of a history book is turned. Never to be viewed by that student again!

Have you ever asked yourself why? Why have great opportunities escaped your grip? Why do some people have greater success than others? Is it luck? Is it destiny? Is it because those “other” people were in the right place at the right time and you were not? I can tell you, there was a time when I asked myself those very same questions!

It’s true, we all pass up opportunities in our lives that offered us life-changing rewards. Yes… all of us! Opportunity is not given to just a special few. We are not especially chosen by destiny, fortune or lady luck. It is not in the cards or in the telling of the stars! The truth is… it is merely a matter of choice!

So! What is the difference between those who are the so-called “fortunate” and those who are not? The achievers and the winners, as we think of them, are the people who seized an opportunity when it presented itself while others did not.

There are many reasons why people miss-out on great opportunities, and procrastination is the number one cause!

When an opportunity arises, they evaluate, they consider, they ponder and simply procrastinate until the opportunity is gone. Out of site out of mind as the old saying goes. Why do they do this to themselves?

They procrastinate because… they lack confidence.

They procrastinate because… they fear failure.

They procrastinate because… they fear success.

They procrastinate because… they fear criticism.

They procrastinate because… they fear change.

They procrastinate because… they fear the unknown.

They procrastinate because… they fear risk.

Lost opportunities are caused by fear-based procrastination. Fear of one or more of the above conditions or perhaps other causes not mentioned here. One thing is for sure! Procrastination brought on by fear takes hold very quickly and the opportunity… lost forever.

The results of the process are usually the same for all. Procrastination prevents most people from achieving many great and wonderful things in their lives.

I suppose they procrastinate because they are afraid they could fail or because they fear, their decision might be the wrong decision! They are afraid of taking a chance! They are afraid they might not have the right stuff! They are afraid they will loose money! They are afraid their family and friends will ridicule them and on and on and on!

Fear is a powerful enemy! It forms a strong alliance with procrastination and keep people from achieving their goals and realizing their dreams.

That is what it is really all about. Opportunity, realized or not realized, is simply a matter of choice… Those who take the “risk” increase their chances of success many times over because they do not fear the outcome of their decision, right or wrong. They seize the opportunity and go on to achieve their goals. Those who would not “risk” let the opportunity get away, never to achieve that which they so sincerely desired.

When you have a gut feeling that a great opportunity is at hand, how do you react? Do you follow your intuition? If not, why not? Is it Fear? Do you procrastinate and put off making a decision until it is too late and the opportunity is gone?

When offered an opportunity, everyone goes through the same process of making a decision. The difference between “us and them” is “they” have confidence in themselves and their abilities and do not let fear rule their lives. No room for procrastination here, the opportunity is quickly evaluated, and acted on.

I could mention Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, J. Paul Getty, Aristotle Onassis, Walt Disney, and so many other great achievers from around the world but I need not. Just remember that they did not quit. They continued to learn and work in their trade until they were at the top.

Failure only comes to those who quit. Another way to look at it is, “you only fail if you quit”. So remember this, You can not fail if you do not quit and “yes”… you do have the right stuff… We all do!

Here is some good news… There is a simple way to build confidence and in doing so, people will decrease their fears and increase their ability to achieve their most desired goals!

Here It Is…

The simple remedy for confidence is “Knowledge”! Knowledge gives people confidence in the area they are knowledgeable about. The old cliché “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is absolute rubbish. Very few people are incapable of learning so there is no reason for knowledge to be a barrier in their lives. The majority of people have the ability to learn new things and now with the maturing of the Computer Age and the World Wide Web, knowledge is as simple as “one finger typing” and the ability to push the “enter” key. If people have a desire to learn new things, they can do so very easily these days...

So, what am I saying? I am saying learn everything you can about what you are interested in then make up your mind to continue to increase your knowledge as you apply that which you have learned. Knowledge builds confidence! Be determined that you will never quit and that you will increase your knowledge in your chosen subject or field until you achieve your goals. This is how to build character and confidence in any walk-of-life.

Did I hear you say “John”, are your sure”?

Proof In Fact

The great achievers of our world became “King of The Hill” in their chosen fields because of their knowledge and because they never quit! Just imagine if Thomas Edison did not have some knowledge about what he was trying to do when he was inventing the light bulb. What would the results have been if he did not continually develop his knowledge as he was in the experimental stage!

What would have happened if Thomas Edison quit after the light bulb failed to endure on the 1000th try! His name would not have gone down in the history books as one of the greatest inventors the world has ever known. Quitters fail! Knowledge and confidence, with a lot of persistence, invented the light bulb… and Thomas Edison had both.

I could give you many similar examples of people who are at the top of their game and prove to you that it took knowledge and confidence to get it done.

The lead guitar player in a famous rock band had to learn the chords and techniques of playing a guitar before playing in front of thousands of people with confidence and expertise.

Firefighters do not immediately grab a hose and fight a fire without knowing how! They do not climb a ladder to rescue someone from sure death without first acquiring the knowledge and developing the skills of the many heroes that came before them. Surely, you must agree that firefighters must have confidence before they take on the challenges on the job, and how does the firefighter develop confidence? Knowledge, it is that simple!

John C. Maxwell, author, founder of the Maximum Impact Club and world-renowned speaker, did not start out at the top of his chosen profession. He began developing his skills when he was a child learning how to read and write just as all of us do. Where would anyone be today if they did not gain the knowledge of the pre-school and school years?

John C. Maxwell could not be an author and writer of books if he did not know how to write and he surely could not be a world-renowned speaker if he had not learned to talk in front of large audiences. He had to acquire the knowledge and develop his skills before he would have the confidence it would take to stand in front of so many people and give life–changing speeches that would take him to the top of his profession, and go to the top he did!

Think about this! When someone starts out in a new job, career, or profession as an apprentice, an intern, a novice, student, rookie, or trainee, did they already possess all the knowledge and expertise required to begin at the top? No! Chances are it took several years to perform at a higher level of competency and many more years of experience before they became the expert, mentor or leader in their company or organization. What is it that gets them to the top? It’s knowledge!

How about you? Where did you start? How long did it take before you were confident enough to converse with people in your industry who had years of experience? I’ll bet as your knowledge increased, your confidence grew, and you found it easier to converse with them on a higher level. I’m sure that at some point, you began to train and mentor others. When you become the mentor, you also become the leader and the person others look up to, depend on, and admire. In truth, you become the leader and the “Expert” in their eyes. Knowledge builds confidence and confidence builds leaders!

Conclusions And Final Comments!

Nothing builds confidence faster than knowledge. It is knowledge that produces our leaders. Without knowledge most people are but pawns in life, left to the whims of those who posses the “magical” know how. Without knowledge and the confidence knowledge produces, people will not risk too create or try new things. People only advance, individually or as a society, where knowledge is present. Inventors, scientists, industrialist, philosophers, small and creative business owners all paved the road of knowledge and made peoples lives better. Their knowledge was put into action because their confidence was high. The two go hand in hand!

If people do not increase their knowledge, their minds wither and progress is halted!

Finally, knowledge is easy to acquire and in this day and age, there are no excuses for sitting on the sidelines of life while watching other people excel…

Only procrastination brought on by fear to risk keeps people from becoming the “Top Dog” and anyone can be “Number 1”. It just takes a little knowledge, confidence and ambition.

As people begin to learn, they will find out very quickly that a little knowledge will increase their confidence and take them a long way. Knowledge or the lack thereof determines their path and many people do not realize the importance of education after their school years. People get out of school and believe their learning years are behind them and the truth is their learning years are just beginning if they plan to excel to any degree.

Fact is, most people, when hired, only learn as much as they need to do the job and then they become satisfied and happy to be right where they are. They feel secure and do not try to progress any farther because they are happy right where they are. In essence, people believe they are right where they want to be.

Only years later, when they see other people advance ahead of them, do they realize that with a little knowledge and confidence the promotion would have been theirs.

Where is all this knowledge to be found, you ask? The sources are unlimited. Here are a few of the most common: parents, friends, mentors, local business owners, clubs, schools, libraries, bookstores, online stores, and the many and unlimited sources of free information on the Internet. They do not call the World Wide Web “The Information Highway” for nothing. You can find information all over the web on just about every subject you can imagine and much of it is free for the asking.

When opportunity knocks, will you answer the call?

I wish success to all of you and do not forget to increase your knowledge, build your confidence, risk, move to the top and prosper!

Huh? 31.95% DON'T know what a "Squeeze Page" is?

Aug.12,2008
Posted By Ephran Price

Recently, James Grandstaff revealed something
that I found quite interesting...

If you've been around the IM (internet marketing) scene for awhile, you've most likely heard the term "squeeze page" before, right?

At least that's what I thought.

Well, James surveyed approx. 500 people on his list who are interested in making money online. Many stated they were interested in affiliate marketing, product creation, MLM, etc...

One of the questions was "Do you know what a
"Squeeze Page" is?"

68.05% answered yes and 31.95% answered NO.

To be honest...

I was shocked that 31.95% said no.

What about you?

In light of this shocking survey data I decided to
write this post today to go over the very basics
of what a squeeze page is and why you should
be using them in your business (if you are not
already.)

And for those of you who already use them, pay
attention. You will probably learn something too.

Here goes...

A squeeze page which is also known as a "lead
capture page" or "name squeeze page" is a simple
web page with one purpose; to get your visitor
to give you their name and email address so you
can follow-up with them. That's it.

One of the best ways to get someone to opt-in
to your squeeze page is by offering something
of high perceived value such as a mini ecourse
or a highly targeted eBook.

For example, let's say you are promoting a multi-
level marketing business opportunity. The products
are great and you are a raving fan.

Most people would just start promoting the website
the company supplies. I say no. This is a perfect
opportunity to implement the use of a squeeze page and offer something of value first.

That way, you collect the leads, you follow-up with
an introduction of yourself and begin building a
long lasting business relationship.

In sales, what we are really selling is "us" first,
then the product.

You always want to provide value first. Once your
prospects warm up to you, then it's time to ask the
right questions to determine if your product or
business opportunity can help solve their needs.

If you'd like to see a high quality, high converting
squeeze page that James has put together, you
can visit the link below.

It's important to read the "thank you" page on the
other side you can get an idea of how the whole
process works.

Until next time...

Yours in success,

What is Online Business Promotion

Aug. 10,2008
by Ephran Price
It doesn't matter if you are an internet only business owner or a traditional business owner. The internet should be playing a part in your marketing strategy.

There are thousands of ways to use the internet to market your business. Here are some of the more popular in order of popularity:

- email - website - classified

All involve some level of cost whether it be from a development point of view or a utilization point of view.

Let me explain....

Email can cost you nothing more than time if you have been collecting email addresses into a database. You can then use these email addresses through your own internet service provider. The alternative is you purchase mailing lists and have somebody do it for you.

Websites can be expensive to build if you don't have the knowledge on what you want or how you want it. Sadly a lot of web developers know nothing more than design and competing to create the fanciest site on the planet. I will create a lens further down the track on what to look for when employing a website developer. On the flip side if you have a bit of knowledge you can create a website very quickly using great inexpensive software tools such as xsitepro.

Classified ads are fun. You can post to these for free or pay per classified. They work quite well and most often the sites are polled out to the search engines so if you have a website they provide a great opportunity for backlinks. The best thing is you don't have to have a website to use the classifieds.

For business without a website there is still plenty of reasons for using the internet to market. The most important and easiest method is email. Email databases are amazing methods of capturing new and repeat business. Set up a promotion and instead of posting it email it. You can add file attachments to the email to enhance your promotion.

For business without a website you can still utilize classifieds to promote and sell a product or service. These too work very well as people are always looking for great products and services at good prices.

Another method of marketing your business onto the internet is using directories. There are literally thousands of directories globally. Many are free to list with and and are often industry specific. You don't have to have a website to list either.

If you can get a website, even it is just one page. People love to see a website of the company they are dealing with. You can just keep the information basic - company info, address, products and services. You can always build on it later.

So here are the grass roots basics of Online Business Promotion or Internet Marketing.

Finding Your Market Share With Article Marketing

Posted by Ephran Price
By: Tiva Kelly

The Internet is here to stay, and it's only going to become larger in the lives of businesses and their customers. In the 21st Century, it's simply not possible for a business to avoid it; if you're not marketing on the Internet, your competitors certainly are, and you will lose out.

Of course, many of the old-fashioned marketing models can still get the job done, but only to a certain extent. Television and radio advertisements will still reach some customers, but technological advances such as TiVo, satellite radio, and the Internet are quickly rendering these modes of advertising obsolete. Meanwhile, fliers and mass mailings can be effective in the short-term, but do not earn respect from customers.

In short, the Internet is the only advertising medium that is growing in effectiveness. The smart business owner will accept this reality, and use it to her advantage. Yet for many, the Internet is mysterious territory. How can we use the Internet to increase our market size and get ahead of the competition?

First, know your marketing budget. If you are a small business, you might not be able to afford many of the advertising techniques that larger companies use. This can actually be to your advantage, as many larger companies are incapable of changing with the times. This is why the Internet is our greatest tool. The purchase and maintenance of a website is a very affordable alternative to old-fashioned advertising mediums such as billboards or television commercials.

Second, know your target customers, and know where to find them. We may not think about it very much, but the Internet is, in reality, not a single medium -- rather, it is many diverse mediums. If you're advertising to a younger demographic, youth-centered social networking sites such as Myspace and Facebook are essential starting points. To target the slightly older generation -- Gen-X'ers and younger baby boomers -- start a blog, and update it regularly.

Middle-aged to elderly generations are, in general, on the Internet far less than their younger counterparts -- yet their Internet presence is increasing. Think local newspaper sites, medical sites, and political sites that deal with older people's issues.

Also, on the Internet you want to associate your business website with other websites that your customer base would tend to browse. For example, if you sell vintage clothing, you might want to advertise on independent music websites. If you sell pet supplies, try advertising on a site that contains articles about pet issues.

Whatever the age and character of your target customers, you can find them. The key is to figure out where they are, and to contact website owners about advertising.

Third, there are countless ways to generate hits on your website, and advertising on other sites is only one of them.

Consider this: If you are confident in your expertise of your field, consider article marketing. If you do a Google search for "how article marketing works" you'll find some great info on how the process works, and where to start. You simply need to generate the content -- which should be easy, as you will be writing about what you know -- and submit it to the distribution service.

You may be asked to make revisions, which is not a bad thing. These services exist to help you increase your market size. Also, it's important how you categorize your articles. Think of what your customers are looking for, and categorize your articles as such.

With each of your articles that is accepted for publication, your business's website will be linked in your "About the Author" section. If your articles are well-written and insightful, you should generate thousands of hits to your website, which will lead to a higher ranking on the search engines.

In the 21st century, we must respect the importance of the Internet and, particularly, search engines. The simple use of keywords will no longer get you ahead. Article marketing is one of the best new Internet marketing techniques that can put you ahead of the competition.

Putting a Face to a Name: Developing a Company Brand

Posted by Ephran Price
By: Johnny Albertson

The business world is all about first impressions. If a customer likes what they see right away, they are likely to invest. This is what makes branding so important. Your brand is what consumers will initially encounter when introduced to your company. You want your brand to entice potential customers to dig deeper and further explore what your company has to offer. With any luck, they will like what they see!

How to Develop a Brand
Begin by identifying your target market. You branding strategy will depend heavily on this factor. For instance, you will choose different approaches depending on whether you are marketing to wealthy, retired men or adolescent girls.

The spending habits, interests, age, gender, education level, and many other factors will play into your branding plans. Similarly, your target market will also dictate where you make your brand visible. If a wide margin of you potential customers read the New York Times, you'll want to advertise there. If they are a more tech-savvy bunch, making your brand well known on the Internet will become a priority.

Once you know who you are trying to speak to, you have to figure out how. Decide what makes your company unique. What distinguishes you from the other guys? Why should a customer come to you instead of the competition? It is in developing those unique selling points that gives a face to your company.

Perhaps it is dependability, innovativeness, or creativity that sets you apart. Regardless of what it is, choose a couple of stand-out qualities and focus on them in the branding process.

Getting Your Brand Noticed
There are several ways to make your brand known to customers. The two main methods are the visual approach and the verbal approach. Any company would be wise to utilize both.

The visual approach involves a specific look to your brand that will be recognized no matter what the context. The best way to do this is through a logo. While it is helpful to have several versions of your logo to fit into different promotional settings, it is essential that a common "look" is maintained throughout.

Remember: what the eyes see, the brain remembers. Whether it be an identifiable font or a memorable graphic, the visual side of branding has become increasingly important in our media-saturated culture.

The verbal aspect of branding is directly connected to the visual. Sometimes they are one in the same, other times the words appear alone, away from the established "look." The wording involved in the brand becomes evermore vital when separated from the visual.

Choosing a good name for your company is part of the branding process. Be sure to choose a name that is descriptive. Don't get too creative with made-up titles that "sound cool." They might be pleasing to the ear, but they won't be remembered by the brain. Whether a customer sees the brand name with your logo or in a newspaper article in plain text, they should instantly recognize it.

A tagline can also be helpful in bolstering the brand. Taglines should always be short and sweet. Something clever or catchy will stick in the memories of customers the same way an attractive logo will.

Marketing With Confidence
You thought coming up with a brand was challenging, now try maintaining it. A devotion to your brand displays a devotion to your customers. It also shows that you have confidence in your product. Consumers will perceive that confidence and subconsciously internalize a feeling of trust for your brand.

It is that positive gut-reaction that you want. A creative, confident brand is generally the face on a creative and confident company, and that is something any customer will notice and remember.

Set Smart Goals

GOAL SETTING IS A SKILL, and unfortunately, it's not something that's usually taught in school. Studies have shown that less than three percent of people actually write their goals down. And it's this SAME three percent who accomplish more than all the others put together.
If you want to get better at setting and achieving goals, here's an acronym that will help you focus and have more success reaching your objectives.

Set SMART goals.

SMART stands for:

Specific
Measurable
Action-oriented
Realistic
Timely

SPECIFIC. Achieving goals demands focus. Our mind needs specific targets to work effectively. It can't operate well with vague generalities. State exactly what you wish to accomplish.

MEASURABLE. Many people set goals they'll never know whether or not they've attained. "To be successful--to be more knowledgeable," aren't goals because there's no benchmark. Be sure to have measurable goals with a deadline.

ACTION-ORIENTED. It's much easier to measure things being done. What are the action-steps you’ll take in the process of achieving your goal?

REALISTIC. This is your call. What's realistic to you may not be to someone else. Your objective has to be within the realm of YOUR believability. If you can't envision yourself doing it, you won't.

TIMELY. A goal must have a target date. If you desire to make a million dollars, but don't set the timeline for it, it won't be motivating. A deadline too far in the future is too easily put off. A goal that's set too close is not only unrealistic, it's discouraging.

If you keep these things in mind as you plan your goals, you'll meet with more success and have more fun doing so.

Advice for the Beginner when Searching for an Internet Home Based Business Income Opportunity

by: Ephran Price
by: Leonard Bartholomew

Internet home based business income opportunities can be a great source of income. They allow a person to work at home, following their own schedule and making money through an already established system. For the beginner, though, they can be confusing and a source of frustration. There are some things everyone should know before requesting information about a home based business income opportunity.

One of the first things a person needs to know is that to find these opportunities all it takes is putting the phrase ‘internet home based business income opportunity’ in a search engine and clicking search. This will populate a mile long list of results. From there a person can simply start going down the list and requesting information from each opportunity. This, however, is a big mistake and one that the person will likely regret.

Requesting information from a home based business opportunity usually involves endless numbers of phone calls and emails. That is why requesting information is one of the last steps a person should take. Additionally, simply requesting information before ever reading about the home based business income opportunity then the person is wasting the time of the person who owns the business opportunity. When they make contact they are going to have to explain everything and if the person is not interested in even the basic concept then they’ve wasted their time that could have been spent growing and maintaining their business.

The best course of action when looking into home based business income opportunities is to first go about finding them in a more effective manner. This means instead of hitting up the search engine, a person should try to find representatives that are willing to talk to them and answer their questions. A person most likely knows people who are representatives of home based business opportunities that they can ask about their business. They can also follow banner advertising or links from websites.

Next after speaking with someone or reviewing the website completely, a person can request information if it looks like something they would be really interested in. This usually involves entering an email address, phone number and name. Then the person will be contacted either via phone or email. This allows a person to only speak to business owners that offer an opportunity that they are really interested in.

By going about finding an internet home based business income opportunity through this method a person will save themselves and the busy professionals plenty of time. They will be able to focus their efforts on finding business opportunities that really suit them instead of wasting time on the phone or emailing someone about an opportunity that they are not really interested in. It is a win-win situation for both the opportunity seeker and the business owner.

Google - Should you use text or graphics with Google Adsense?

By: MayBhisham

Google Adsense provides advertisers and publishers with the opportunity to place adverts in both text and graphic format.

As advertisers decide to put adsense into their website over banner advertising, the question still remains. Which is the best for advertisers and which is the best for publishers?

On one hand advertisers may feel that image adverts are more responsive yet less likely to stimulate a sale. On the other hand text adverts may convert more, whilst being less visible to the consumer.

Text based adverts are considered the least intrusive of the two formats. However does that mean that Graphic advertising is better? Consumers are used to graphic advertising from signing into free email accounts, and from using other web based services. Through being used to graphic advertising they have almost programmed their selves to ignore it. Through the adverts being untargeted, the consumer is used to brand advertising which they feel is generally less purposeful. This may cause the consumer to ignore the graphic advert from the assumption that it will be the same.

Text adverts are not forced upon surfers. Through being less obvious some people will not see them at all, however those who do see them, and read them are significantly more likely to click on them. This is for a number of reasons, but the first is that they provide more information. Generally, someone who is reading text on a page is not going to be fully satisfied by what they read, and if they check adsense adverts they will most likely read something which will further supplement whatever their intention is next. With an image advert, it is far more of a gamble for the surfer.

Graphic advertising is often paid per impression. This is because the advertiser may be trying to promote their brand, instead of promoting a specifically useful service. They therefore are assumed to have worse conversion rates, and with this text adverts are in the consumers eyes more effective. However, if the text contained within an advert was placed in graphic format, which would be the most effective? Well firstly it can assumed that the surfer will be more likely to view it, however if their were multiple image adverts appearing next to each other they may feel overwhelmed.

Graphic adverts are also harder to regulate. Let’s consider Google allowing adverts to be changed frequently and without regulation. The advertiser could claim affiliation from the website they are advertising on, and contain keywords such as “ipod” which cannot be contained within a text advert. Although more regulation and quality control could be in place, a pornographic image for example could be made to appear in an advertiser’s adverts unknowingly.

Text adverts also have a broader market appeal, as advertisers don’t generally have the in house resources to create an image advert, but do have the in house resources to write a text advert. This could mean that a wider array of advertisers find text advertising accessible, through text adverts being less burden on the advertiser, and being easy to change.

Text adverts are also cheaper for the advertiser to create, where as a graphically designed advert may cost in excess of $200. Through removing this fixed cost advertisers may be willing to allot a higher rate to advertising itself; thus benefiting the advertiser and the publisher.

Text advertising appears to be the preference of the advertiser. They pay a CTR (click through rate) and only receive targeted traffic. This removes risks from businesses that previously had to worry that adverts were not only seen, but clicked on and stimulating sales. As CPC (Cost Per Click) is more relevant to text adverts, advertisers are able to gain exposure without needing a high click through rate to be effective.

The big brands are willing to advertise in both formats however the broad market appeal of text inevitably makes it the winner. As flash websites disappear with image adverts, it is becoming clear that text and information is the preference of the website users.

Find Your Target Market

People around the world ready with thousands of e-books, software and many more e-products ready to sale but they are finding it difficult to track the right market. If you are having your e-store ready and if you are thinking of setting up an online business, one of the first things you need to think about is finding a profitable market in which to develop your business. You need to find your target market.

First of all let consider market place. You should look for a market with high profitability. You want to find a product or service for which there is high demand. High demand means good chances of high profitability. You also want to see high competitive activity or supply. Why? Because that means people are making money. It means there is a good chance you can position yourself to make a good profit if you plan your marketing wisely.

As per my research some typical areas of high demand and strong supply are categories such as internet marketing, stock, currency and index trading, health programs, weight loss and even gasoline efficiency for your daily commute. You can determine how these areas are doing by going on Google to find the dominant keywords for a particular product or service. A Google Ad word is a great tool to use for this purpose. For example, look up affiliate marketing or currency trading and see the results you get. With the keywords from your research, you can then do a Google search to see what businesses pop up.

Surfing internet and finding the right websites is key to success. You must check out the top sites both in the organic return down the middle of the page and on the top and right column where the paid sponsorships display the level of interest for paid leads. A presence of paid sponsors indicates that people are paying for ads and making money for the product or service you are researching. It also shows you what the competition is doing and what you need to incorporate in your own planning to get good results.

One of the goldmine on the internet is the affiliate marketing programs .You should spend some time in evaluating the profitability of a product/service is to join Click bank, Pay dotcom, cj.com or any number of resell sites for product and services. With Click bank, for example, pick a market category that fits your prospective product /service. There you will see the leaders in the category. You will also see the level of affiliate sales activity, the commission amounts being paid, information about the product and the contact information of the owner or originator of that product or service. This information will tell you, who is making money and what the business sector profitability is. With this information you can decide to rep a product or service or find something similar to resell or develop yourself.

Once you have made your choice of a profitable market area, you want to find a specific product, preferably a digital product, that you can 'front end' to get started. In this model you want to own resell rights and make your offering of affiliate resale rights at a very low cost, somewhere between $10 and $20. You offer your affiliates a commission of 75-100% for the delivery of leads to your web site.

This affiliate system will help you develop your customer base to which you can cross sell and up sell all sorts of related products/services and that is where you will make your income. These back end products can be cd's, DVD's and all sorts of software needed to carry an online business.

Click bank and other affiliate programs are earning billions of dollar but they are spending lot of money and time for promoting e-business. Part of the process of setting up your online business means you will need to register a domain name and sign up with a web hosting service. We always recommend Hostingmug couz they provide most reliable and economical services. Your Web site will be the place for your presell, sales and order pages. You will also want to sign up with an auto responder service to organize your email responses to your affiliates and customers.

Using this early research and set up process, you will have a chosen a profitable market sector and you will have selected a list of products that you can front end and back end to grow your business. You will be ready to move to the next stage of your business development; working out a marketing plan to capture and grow your customer base and preparing the final stage of launching the actual business.

Work-at-Home Schemes

Modern Twist to Old Scams
With the rise of the Internet and e-mail, getting a phony ad or message out to a vast audience is cheap and easy. Even though the old work-at-home scams have taken on a modern twist, the typical profile of victims who are most susceptible to these scams has changed very little. Work-at-home con artists have always preyed most heavily upon senior citizens, the disabled, mothers who want to stay at home with their children, people with low income and few job skills, and people who just want to get rich quick.

Cyberspace is simply the newest arena that scam artists have entered to widen their hunt for more people to dupe. To avoid falling for work-at-home scams, both on- and off-line, look for the following warning signs:

Overstated claims of product effectiveness;
Exaggerated claims of potential earnings, profits, or part-time earnings;
Claims of "inside" information;
Requirements of money for instructions or products before telling you how the plan works;
Claims of "no experience necessary."
Warning List
Beware of falling prey to tempting work-at-home promotions that offer "easy money." You could be at risk for some very bad consequences. You can:

LOSE MONEY! Consumers have lost amounts ranging from $10 to $70,000, or more.
WASTE VALUABLE TIME! You may throw away countless hours on worthless projects that cost you a lot of money to attempt and complete, but, in the end, give you nothing in return.
RUIN YOUR REPUTATION! You can involuntarily sell your customers terrible quality merchandise or nonexistent products and services.
BE A TARGET OF LEGAL ACTION! You can be held liable for perpetrating a fraud by deliberately or even unintentionally promoting and selling fraudulent products or services to others.
Most Common Scams
To protect yourself, learn to recognize the most common work-at-home scams.

ASSEMBLY WORK AT-HOME: Typical Ad -- "Assembly work at home! Easy money assembling craft items. No experience necessary."

This scheme requires you to invest hundreds of dollars in instructions and materials and many hours of your time to produce items such as baby booties, toy clowns, and plastic signs for a company that has promised to buy them. Once you have purchased the supplies and have done the work, the company often decides not to pay you because your work does not meet certain "standards." You are then left with merchandise that is difficult or impossible to sell.

CHAIN LETTER: Typical Ad -- "Make copies of this letter and send them to people whose names we will provide. All you have to do is send us ten dollars for our mailing list and labels. Look at the chart below and see how you will automatically receive thousands in cash return!!!"

The only people who benefit from chain letters are the mysterious few at the top of the chain who constantly change names, addresses, and post office boxes. They may attempt to intimidate you by threatening bad luck, or try to impress you by describing themselves as successful professionals who know all about non-existent sections of alleged legal codes.

ENVELOPE STUFFING: Typical Ad -- "$350 Weekly Guaran- teed! Work two hours daily at home stuffing envelopes."

When answering such ads, you may not receive the expected envelopes for stuffing, but instead get promotional material asking for cash just for details on money-making plans. The details usually turn out to be instructions on how to go into the business of placing the same kind of ad the advertiser ran in the first place. Pursuing the envelope ad plan may require spending several hundred dollars more for advertising, postage, envelopes, and printing. This system feeds on continuous recruitment of people to offer the same plan. There are several variations on this type of scheme, all of which require the customer to spend money on advertising and materials. According to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, "In practically all businesses, envelope stuffing has become a highly mechanized operation using sophisticated mass mailing techniques and equipment which eliminates any profit potential for an individual doing this type of work-at-home. The Inspection Service knows of no work-at-home promotion that ever produces income as alleged."

MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING: Typical Ad -- "Our products make it possible for people like you to earn more than they ever have in their lives! Soon you can let others earn money for you while you and your family relax and enjoy your affluent lifestyle! No experience necessary."

Multi-level marketing, a direct sales system, is a well-established, legitimate form of business. Many people have successfully sold the products of reputable companies to their neighbors and co-workers. These people are independent distributors who sell popular products and also recruit other distributors to join them. On the other hand, illegitimate pyramid schemes can resemble these legitimate direct sales systems. An obvious difference is that the emphasis is on recruiting others to join the program, not on selling the product. For a time, new recruits who make the investment to buy product samples keep money coming into the system, but very few products are sold. Sooner or later the people on the bottom are stuck with a saturated market, and they cannot make money by selling products or recruiting. When the whole system collapses, only a few people at the top have made money—and those at the bottom have lost their investment.

ONLINE BUSINESS: Typical Ad -- "Turn your Home Computer into a Cash Machine! Get computer diskette FREE! Huge Selection of Jobs! No experience needed! Start earning money in days! Many companies want to expand, but don’t want to pay for office space. You save them money by working in the comfort of your home."

This is typical of advertisements showing up uninvited in your e-mail—an old scheme advertised in a new way. You pay for a useless guide to work-at-home jobs—a mixture of computer-related work such as word processing or data entry and the same old envelope-stuffing and home crafts scams. The computer disk is as worthless as the guidebook. It may only list free government web sites and/or business opportunities which require more money.

PROCESSING MEDICAL INSURANCE CLAIMS: Typical Ad -- "You can earn from $800 to $1000 weekly processing insurance claims on your home computer for health care professionals such as doctors, dentists chiropractors, and podiatrists. Over 80% of providers need your services. Learn how in one day!"

Generally, the promoter of this scheme attracts you by advertising on cable television and, perhaps, by inviting you to a business opportunity trade show at a hotel or convention center. You may be:

Urged to buy software programs and even computers at exorbitant prices; a program selling at a software store for $69 might cost you several thousands of dollars.
Told that your work will be coordinated with insurance companies by a central computer.
Required to pay for expensive training sessions available at a "current special rate" that will be higher in the future, and
Pressured to make a decision immediately.
Most likely, the expensive training sessions are superficial, and the market for your services is very small or nonexistent. The promoter may delay the processing of your job, citing a backlog or mistakes in your work. There may also be no central computer as advertised. You may be left with no way to deliver what you have promised to your clients or customers—if you found any—and with no way to earn any money on you own.

Avoiding Fraud
There is no substitute for closely examining any offer which promises or guarantees income from work-at-home programs. If it sounds too good to be true, chances are it’s a scam.

Consider it a warning sign if a worker must buy something in order to start the program. Those interested also should take into consideration that, by becoming involved in a work-at-home scheme, they might well be perpetrating a fraud by selling the program to others, and risk investigation by postal authorities.

For a reliability report on a specific work-at-home company, check first with your local Better Business Bureau.

Signs of a Work-at-Home Scamer
A Work-at-Home Scheme Promoter will:

Never offer you regular salaried employment.
Promise you huge profits and big part-time earnings.
Use personal testimonials but never identify the person so that you could check with them.
Require money for instructions or merchandise before telling you how the plan operates.
Assure you of guaranteed markets and a huge demand for your handiwork.
Tell you that no experience is necessary.
Take your money and give you little or nothing in return except heartbreak and grief.
If You Are Victimized

If you become a victim of a work-at-home scheme, ask the company for a refund. If they refuse or give you an evasive response, tell them you plan to notify law enforcement officials.

Keep careful records of everything you do to recover your money. Document your phone calls, keep copies of all paperwork such as letters and receipts, and record all costs involved, including the time you spend. If the company refuses to refund your investment, contact:

Your local Better Business Bureau;
Your local or state consumer affairs agency;
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service;
Your state’s attorney general's office or the office in the state where the company;
The advertising manager of the publication that ran the ad you answered.

Important roles in determining your home business success or failure?

6-22-2008
Published by
Ephran Price

Have you ever considered what factors play the most Important roles in determining your home business success or failure?

Is it the compilation of the little successes in your home business or personal endeavors that make you a success in life, or is success in life something completely separate from success in business?

How do you define success, and what are you willing to do to achieve it?

Most of the top success coaches in the world agree that one factor that will help insure your home business success is your willingness to "go the extra mile", but what does "going the extra mile" really mean?

Think about how many business opportunities you have each day to go the extra mile. You'll find that there are dozens. "Going the extra mile" simply means doing something better than you have to, or going above and beyond what is expected of you in any given situation.

When you meet someone new, how you relate to them is a choice. You can do what is expected of a normal person, which is to introduce yourself and maybe force a smile. Or, you can go the extra mile. You can flash a big smile, pay the person a sincere complement and let them know that you are genuinely pleased to have met them. You can take interest in really getting to know them. Perhaps using your intuition, you can say or do something for this person that would brighten their day.

Is it difficult to go the extra mile in social situations? No, of course not. However, most people don't do it.

Use that to your advantage. When you decide to start really going the extra mile in every area of your life, it's going to set you apart. It's what's going to give you an advantage in every area of your life. It won't be at the expense of anyone else, except maybe your business or romantic competitors who are failing to go the extra mile.

People are going to like you more. Doors will open. Success will follow. But first, you have to make a habit of going the extra mile EVERY chance you get. Soon, it will become second nature to you, something that's just built into your personality and work ethic. Most people don't even recognize their opportunities to go the extra mile because they aren't looking for them, but you can.

From this point on, make a conscious decision to be on the lookout for your business opportunities to go the extra mile - and take them. Once you make a habit out of going the extra mile, you'll begin to enjoy it. If you're paying attention, over time you'll recognize how going the extra mile pays off for you, and it always does pay off over time.

Whether it be in your personal relationships, or in your business relationships - going the extra mile always pays off, even if the payoff is not immediate or simple to recognize. Do a little more or better work than is expected of you, or than what you are compensated for now. Pour a little more of your energy and soul into your business phone calls or emails.

Take the 5 seconds to add "have a great day" at the end of your emails. When you see an opportunity to complement someone on what they are doing right, take it. It has been said that everything you do or think, both positive and negative, comes back to you in an ever increasing quantity. We've found this to be true about going the extra mile. Never has it failed to pay off big dividends.

We'll end this article with a super example of someone going the extra mile, which we found published in and relating to Newsweek Magazine. It pays tribute to a man, Harry Quadracci, now deceased, who went the extra mile for Newsweek back in 1977.

Quadracci had a small printing press in Wisconsin. Not usually a supplier to Newsweek, he took an urgent order when they were unable to get work done by their regular printer. They sent him the layouts, but the plan was diverted by a snowstorm. Unable to trace the package, Newsweek staff called him "in distress." They discovered that, despite the weather, he had already sent a car through the blizzard to claim the package, and that the job was already being printed. One might say that Quadracci went the extra mile. Certainly it paid off handsomely, because he later became a regular supplier for the huge publication. But he did not know that when he proactively challenged the snowstorm. For all he knew, as soon as the magazine's temporary problems with their regular suppliers were over he might never hear from them again. But he did it anyway.
Going the extra mile does not always pay off so handsomely as it did in this case, but in terms of personal and business growth, of the growing feeling of confidence that we experience when we stretch ourselves, it pays off every time.
Starting right now, begin to recognize your opportunities to go the extra mile and make certain that you take them as often as possible. The dividends will come back to you in various ways and at unknown times, but at some time - YOU WILL be compensated in your home business venture for going the extra mile every chance you get.

Relying Exclusively On Email To Build Your Business? You'll SOON Be Out Of Business!

Email is perhaps the most well-known tool that's emerged from the Internet.
It's universal. It's cheap. And every newbie can't wait to use it to build their
online business. After all, it's a synch, right? Email somebody. Make money.

NO WAY!

A Brief History Of Email

Back in 1994, email was new and exciting. You sat down at your computer,
created your message, emailed it. Voila, people actually responded. Light
bulbs went off in heads worldwide: this was an unbelievable bonanza. That
something you could get for a pittance was certain to generate gigantic
returns. Wowser!

And so the email rush began until in short order, all of us buried in the stuff,
the counter-revolution took shape: the rush to keep the torrents of email being
sent from getting to -- you! All sorts of systems emerged that stopped email
dead in its tracks. Someone would think of a way to help email get through.
Someone else invented a way to block it. Net result: studies now show that up
to 99% of the email that's sent is actually stopped, never reaching the person
for whom it's intended, the person you expected to buy.

What does this mean for you? It means that the rosy figuring you've
been doing about all the money you're going to make with email is
COMPLETELY erroneous. Consider this common example: a fellow
told me the other day he'd purchased a 'sure-thing' opt-in list of
100,000. He said he expected a 1% return with 1000 people buying
his $49.95 item. Yes, a quick and painless $50,000!!! He was already
spending that money in his head when I talked to him.

He hired a copywriter for $2000 to write his sizzling message; (when
you're 'sure' of making $50,000, spending $2000 more is 'nothing').
Then he emailed... and waited. A day. Two days. A week. Then grim
realization: ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. Not even 1.
The 'sure thing' $50,000 gain had turned into a sure loss of over $2,000.

This is why good judgement is said to be the result of bad experience.

So, How Do You Build An Online Business Then? By Getting An
Interactive Website And TALKING To People

The crazy notion has grown up on the 'net that there is something
entirely different about doing business online and doing business offline.
Rubbish. Consider what you as a customer want when you go into an
offline store.

You want a staffer to greet you and ask what assistance you
need. You want that staffer to direct you courteously and
knowledgeably. You want professional help as and when you
need it, but not someone who hovers. Isn't that about the size of it?

Well, guess what? Your customers want the same thing from you.
That is, they want to be greeted by you live when they visit your
website. They want to know that they can get their queries answered
and concerns handled promptly by someone polite and informative.
Finally, when they're ready to place an order, they want your assistance.

In other words, if you expect to profit online, there's no effortless
means where you simply have to email a message, then stand by
waiting for a torrent of cash. You have to work your business,
day in, day out which means TALKING to folks.

Online, as offline, you build your business by TALKING TO one
customer at a time. Talking to them, answering their questions, being
generally helpful and available.

If this discourages you, maybe business per se isn't your cup of
tea. But if you accept the fact that ALL businesses are built one
customer at a time, then you're ready to do what it takes to
use the 'net to your daily advantage. Thus, do this: transform your
website into an interactive business emporium where you can greet
and work with people inexpensively worldwide. Talking to your
customers; this is the real benefit of the Web, and you can start
doing and profiting from it today.

Website interactivity -- not misunderstood email -- is what makes you
rich online. Don't wait another minute to get and use it. That's
how you get rich online, not by gambling on email.

RIGHT NOW There's A Customer At Your Website. So, Who's Talking To Him And Making The Sale?

A few minutes ago a customer dropped by your website. He's been looking
for something, thinks you might have it, but has questions which need
answers before he purchases.

Have you got interactivity on your site, the means, that is, of allowing
your customers to talk LIVE to you so their questions and concerns
can be immediately dealt with and the sale made?

Or are you still in the Internet Dark Ages trying to make do with
nothing more than a form which enables that customer to email in
questions, which you'll get around to when you feel like it? If this
sounds like your website situation, listen up because your lack of
interactivity is costing you money EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Do You Know What Your Customers Want? Attention When
They Want It!

Have you thought lately about how customer friendly your website
is? Have you walked through what a customer must do to do
business with you? If you expect to make money online, you
need to understand both what your customer wants from you
and whether you can deliver it.

When customers arrive at your site they want to know help
is available when they need it. Thus, you need the means to
greet your customers and let them know you're available to assist
them -- when THEY are ready to be helped!

Can you do this at your website now? Can you greet your
customers? Can you let them know you're there to help?
Or do you have nothing more than the old-time conventional
website which really is just an electronic circular or bulletin board?

The Customer's Ready For Help. Are You Ready To Provide It?

Okay, the customer has browsed and now has questions.
How are you going to answer these questions, given the fact
that the speed and thoroughness with which you answer them
will probably either make or break the sale?

The usual, out-moded, conventional website offers nothing
more than the chance to click on 'contact us' with only the
possibility of some later response. But the customer is interested
NOW! The customer wants to get his questions answered
NOW! The customer is ready to buy NOW! Sadly, the only
thing you're offering is 'we'll get back to you as soon as we
can.'

Blech!

That's not marketing. It's anti-marketing; the perfect way
to kill the sale and turn off that customer with a pulse who's
ready to proceed NOW!

People Buy When People Talk To Them!

The crazy notion exists that somehow making a sale online
is different from making a sale offline. Rubbish. When you go
into a store, you want a salesperson to come up, offer his
assistance, step back until you need it, then provide it
graciously and knowledgeably. The same is true online.
It's ridiculous to think that the 'here's the information, take it
or leave it' approach is anything other than daft.

Your customers, like all customers, want to speak to you
about their questions, qualms, and concerns when they're
ready -- not when you get around to responding to emails.
Knowing this, just how long will it take you to give your
customers what they want -- so you get the sales you need?

Conclusion

As the Internet matures, it's clear who's profiting, who's
not and why. This is irrefutable: if you want the sale,
talk to your customer -- which means making sure you have
website interactivity.

It is absolutely necessary for your Internet success.

Social Networking: Netiquette

April,04 2008
Posted br Ephran Price
By
Darren Olander

Netiquette is the acceptable behavior within a social marketing
(Web 2.0) or social networking atmosphere. Failure to recognize
these unspoken rules could mean little or no marketing results, or
even worse, a disastrous effect on your image.

It is actually quite common for people to misuse social networks,
and thus, receive no real benefit from them. In fact, more than
anything among professional social networks people naturally have
the wrong idea, and the few that do know what they are doing are
experiencing great results.

What is the common problem? The problem is that marketers view
these sites only as a means of advertising and sponsoring people
into their businesses. Don't get me wrong though, if used properly
these sites will increase your businesses and income, but with a
much stronger foundation.

First let's go over what not to do through social marketing. As a
side note, social marketing can mean any Web 2.0 social
book-marking, content sharing, or social networking site. You
should not blatantly shove your product or opportunity. Instead,
you should be attracting people to you by offering value and
information to other users. If you are becoming friends with users
just to send them advertisements without attempting to build a
personal relationship then you are misusing the site. In most cases
it is also true that these users will not be responsive at all to
your message and will just block or report you. However, once you
have built a relationship with your contacts it is ok to send them
an announcement of your product or opportunity along with an
informative message on how it will help them. You should limit how
often you do this, do not promote your stuff to them every day, try
to keep it to once per week.Instead, bring them value 90% of the time
and 10% promoting yourself or business. You will find that you are
attracting more and more people to you instead of chasing people.

Another pitfall that some people fall into is conflicting with
others within the social network. Know the difference between
discussion and attacking. If you have a different view than someone
else it is ok to voice your opinion but make sure to use facts and
keep a constructive atmosphere.

Now let's go over some tips for what you should try to do and
accomplish through social networking sites.

1) You should build relationships

This one is obvious, but still needs to be mentioned because of its
huge importance. People buy from people they like and trust. If
that is you they will buy from you. Introduce yourself to other
users, but spend more time asking and talking about them than
yourself. Discover their goals and needs and help them achieve
them. A simple way of showing value to your contacts is by teaching
them how to use the social network if they have questions about
certain features or customization options. You also need to keep a
regular communication with your friends; this can be done on a mass
scale through bulletins or by bulk e-mailing your friends. The
communications should be value based and mostly informational, this
will increase the likelihood of their interest in what you have to
offer.

2) Help connect people to others

One thing you can do that will earn you major points with others is
by introducing people to each other. You can do this through
recommending friends who have similar interests. If your friends
are involved in the same opportunity or sell the same product
connect them so they can share with each other. If one of your
friends sells something and another friend is looking to buy it,
then that is a simple connection you can make. Now your friends
will want to help you and the favor will be returned.

3) Evaluate your perspective

Are you constantly thinking about what others can do for you?
Instead consider what you can do to help them. If your goal is to
help others first you will build solid relationships and receive
phenomenal results in your business. Ask others how you can
possibly help them and they will see you as a valued friend.

4) Upload a photo and build a quality profile

Profiles with photos receive up to 70% more exposure. This shows
the importance of adding a photo to your profile. If you do not
have a photo of yourself you can put a photo of anything, the
important thing is that you have a photo uploaded on your account.
You also need to take the time to build a quality profile. First,
write briefly about yourself, provide some marketing tips or
advice, and then feel free to write about the value that you can
provide to others. Every friend of yours should be visiting your
profile at least once, and if the network allows for you will be
having views from non-friends or even non-members also.

5) Add and accept unlimited friends

Finally, your goal within the social network is to connect with as
many people as possible. The more people you are friends with then
the more exposure you can potentially have to your products or
opportunities. Most social networks allow you to bulk contact your
friends. You will use this feature in order to send helpful tips as
well as promotions to all of your friends at once. This is why
building up your friends list is even more valuable. If you are
adding a lot of friends it is likely you will not be able to
personally get in touch with all of them, in this case it is wise
to show them your value and professionalism through your bulk
communications to all of your friends so they can learn about you
and the value you provide.

Social networks offer you the ability to get exposure but so much
more. A huge benefit to social-networking is learning from others
and being in an environment of shared knowledge. Take advantage of
everything social networks have to offer and take the time to build
quality relationships. I still work with other network marketers I
met online over six years ago and these relationships have become
highly valuable! In final words: Networking is a contact sport.

I wish you quality networking,

What you Need to Know About Blogs and Internet Marketing

Feb. 21, 2008
Published by Ephran Price

A Sneek Preview Into The World Of Blogging

The key to making money through affiliate programs or other forms
of advertising is traffic, which is simply the sheer number of
visitors who arrive at your blog daily. In terms of affiliate
marketing and SEO, the more visitors your website has, better
are the chances or rather prospects of your products and services
to be recomended from your website.

Many first time bloggers automatically assume that once their
blog is setup and they put a few posts on it, they will get
some hits and regular readers. This is quite untrue. You won't
get any traffic if no one knows about your website. There are
many different ways to market your blog and gain more visitors
which will eventually allow you to make money through blog-based
affiliate marketing.

The use of blog traffic exchanges is one method you should consider.
In this particular article I intend to showcase methods for proper
blog usability which will automatically ensure sucess for the
reason of blogging.

BLOG USABILITY
The first priority your blog has to have is presentation.
Most web users are instantly turned off by poor presentation
or common designs that seems to be tacky at the best. It is
a known fact that, no person would prefer staying logged on
to a website if the navigation is annoying.

The aim is to have a unique blog, different than all the
other weblogs on the net.It shouldn't take a reader more than
a click, if any, to find your email address or a contact form.
This makes the reader feel like someone who actually runs and
cares about the website. An about page(regarding author details)
is also a great asset to have on a personal site or blog.
The more a reader knows about you, the more they trust your content.

CONTENT
Your blog's usability goes hand in hand with its content.
You can specialize in an unusual subject as long as you
have an idea of how many people might be interested in that subject.
If you do well with your niche subject matter, you could get some
crazy traffic for being the only decent blog online with that
type of content.

On the other hand you could have widely used content, such as some
aspect of technology, but add your own twist with your opinion or
comparing/contrasting from other tech analysts. People won't go to
your site to read other people's edition, rather they will be on
the lookout for new takes.

The one thing to kill your traffic is having identical content to
another several hundred blogs.Finding out what your content should
be is a key element of your blog's identity and the type of image
your blog will ultimately emit. More over blogging or using other
people's content will only allow google to announce your website
as a PLR (plagiarized) website.

Following are some questions along with the answers that are bound
to creep into the minds of many amateur bloggers:

1)How do Blog Traffic Exchanges Work? Blog Traffic Exchanges are
simply websites which operate on a reciprocal viewing ratio,
whereby you'll manually surf and visit various blogs in the network,
in return for other users to visit your blog. For example, by
logging into a blog traffic exchange and visiting one blog in
their network, I would earn one credit which means that I'll
get one visit in return from another blogger who is using the
same traffic network. This is the most basic principle of all
blog traffic exchanges, although some exchange networks will
allow you to buy credits which will translate to visitor
traffic from other users.

2)What are the requirements to use a Blog Traffic Exchange? )
The most basic prerequisite is that you will need to own a blog.
Registration for these blog traffic exchanges are usually free
and all you'll need to do is to submit your blog and start
surfing to accumulate traffic credits, which will ensure that
other users surf and visit your blog as well.

3)What are some types of Blog traffic exchanges?

Blog Explosion

BlogMad

Blog Soldiers

Blog Advance

Blog Catalouge

Blog Flux.
4)what are the advantages and disadvantages of blogging?
Advantages- Free exposure for new blogs. New blogs usually
have very little referral or search traffic and the focus
is on getting people to know your blog actually exists.
Blog Traffic exchanges can perform this function and may
even help to increase your initial reader base before
organic traffic from search engines starts to kick in.

Building long-term referral traffic. Traffic exchange
visitors are all bloggers and are the people you want
to attract when you are trying to build a much bigger
readership. The more bloggers you have reading your
blog, the more potential for incoming links and future
referral traffic.

Disadvantages-Some bloggers have suggested that
advertising networks like Adsense do not allow the
use of traffic exchanges, because they generate
artificial traffic and ad impressions.Blog traffic
exchanges are similar to StumbleUpon in that you'll
never really know what to expect.

For some exchanges like Blog Explosion, you can
choose to surf blogs only in a specific field
but I'm not sure how many users actually use
this function.The traffic that you are trying
to monetize is actually limited only to the
users of each Traffic Exchange. This means
that after consistently using each exchange
for a while, the quality of the traffic as
it relates to affiliate programs might decrease.

Now coming to the main point of blog success.
How does one do proper blog promotion? If your
blog is an acclaimed hit you don't have to look back.
Blogger itself has an array of settings, many of
which work to your advantage in this endeavor.
This first grouping is quite simple and just
requires that you sign in to your Blogger
account and flip a few switches.

Weblogs.com is a blog update notification
service that many individuals and services
use to track blog changes. When your setting
is activated, Blogger will notify weblogs.com
that you have updated your blog. That means
your blog will be included in various "recently updated"
lists on the web as well as other blog-related services.
Traffic-grabbing techniques is a little more persnickety
and not as readily activated.

The basic gist of this section of methods is
"If you build it well they will come."
You'll need to incorporate the other aspects
of self-promotion, but it's true that writing
a great blog goes a long way towards repeat visitors
and word of blog. Write quality content and do it well.
If your "style" is bad writing, worse grammar, no punctuation,
and an ugly design, that might be okay for a niche crowd.
But the idea here is to get a big crowd so fix yourself
up a bit, pull it together man, have some respect for your
readers, and discover a style that shines brightly through
good blogging.

The other factors you need to keep in mind while blogging
on the net are: 1)Publish regular updates 2)Think of your
audience 3)Keep search engines in mind 4)Keep your posts
and paragraphs short.

Be unique and be sure that your data is content relative.
Another samll topic that creeps up in my mind now is
preference.Well just like other bloggers who blog through
common and basic accounts I to have a preffered account.

TECHNORATI
Technorati is one of the best traffic providers for bloggers.
It makes your blog much easier to find when people search by
technorati tags. Technorati is also a large blog ranking engine.
Based on the number of links to your blog from various websites,
your blog is given a rank. The higher your rank the easier your
blog is to find when people search for things. A higher rank
gives your blog greater credibility in technorati. If you don't
already have a technorati account get one fast.

THIS Is The Number One Reason You Are Failing Online And What To Do About It.

- Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Publisher: Ephran Price
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
by Dr. Jeffrey Lant
I've been making money daily online since 1994. It's not
rocket science. There are certain things you must do. If
you do them consistently, you make money consistently.
It's literally that easy. Lots of people 'get' it. As a
result the number of web-based millionaires has
skyrocketed since 1994. More are being created online
now than ever before.
If this is true, why, then, are there so many online
also-rans, people who keep on failing, failing and failing?
Well, read this report, and you'll know the #1 Reason people
like you have never made a dime online and why, until
they change their ways, they CANNOT make money. This
report is important: don't just skim it. Focus. Your
online success depends on it.
Here's The #1 Reason For Online Failure...
I'm dedicating this report to a woman I know who goes
online every day and 'works' but who doesn't make any
money. Her story is common, and in it you see the pre-
eminent reason why so many people worldwide keep failing:
they are trying to email their way to success.
Email is one of the cleverest inventions ever. It has
literally transformed the world. It has not, however,
transformed the way sales are made. If you want to make a
sale, you need to pick up the phone and TALK to your prospect.
My female friend won't do this. She thinks, despite a
mountain of evidence to the contrary, that all you have to
do is email people over and over again to make money. Towards
this end, she purchases 'opt in' lists where she is
'assured' that all the folks on them have agreed to receive
commercial email. Problem is, there are almost no real
opt in lists in existence; most are just spam marketed
under false pretenses by scam artists. In other words, no
one agreed to receive anything. Ever hopeful, my friend
keeps buying these lists and emailing to them despite the
fact she hasn't made a dime. The truth is, she's lazy and
gullible and is willing to waste her money time after time,
in the faint hope that mass email will provide profits.
Friend, hear this: mass/spam email cannot and will not make
you any money, ever.
Here's The #1 Reason For Online Success...
If you want to make money online, if you'd like to make
MILLIONS of dollars online like I have (and am still doing,
mind you), I can tell you the way. It's a way I've used for
years, which I am using now, and which I firmly continue
to keep on using. It's an active way, not a passive way.
It's a way that is based on contacting, working with and
talking to prospects. It uses email, to be sure, but
doesn't rely on mass email to make the sales which can
only be made working with prospects one at a time.
Years ago when I was growing up in Illinois, McDonald's
was a new company. At their hamburger stands they'd
have a big sign which said '1,000,000 (or whatever the
current number) sold... one at a time.' In other words,
they focused on selling large numbers by focusing on each
individual sale and individual prospect. That's what my system
is all about and here's how it works.
I Profit From Worldprofit's Sales Center Every Single
Day.
The Sales Center is based on the proposition that if you
want a sale, you need to talk to the prospect. The more
costly what you sell is, the more profit you make the more true
and necessary this personal contact. With the Sales Center,
you set up a page (or pages) for every single product, service,
affiliate, network marketing or business opportunity you're selling.
There is NO limit to the number of pages you can create.
Once the page is set up the magic begins.
As soon as anyone clicks on that page, you are automatically
notified by email with the prospect's name, address,
telephone number and the name of the page they are visiting.
You receive this notification instantly and can follow up
by phone at once to connect with the prospect, answer
her questions, and MAKE THE SALE. It's fast, it's easy;
it's literally like shooting fish in a barrel. You don't
make cold calls, you don't spam. You talk to and work with
people who are interested in what you're selling. Best of
all,it's an unbelievably consistent money maker. I know. I
use it every day. You even get dozens and dozens of
pre-written pages you can immediately start using. This
means you can post a finished page within 2 MINUTES!
